Monitoring tool

Monitoring tool is displaying events from VSPE devices which support monitoring feature (such as Serial Redirector device, Serial Router device, TCP Server device etc).

Monitoring kernel-mode devices (Connector/Pair/Splitter) is not supported.

Do not leave monitoring enabled unattended for a long time: your system will eventually run out of memory.

Monitoring tool

• "Load...": load monitoring logs from file
• "Save...": save all collected monitoring logs to file (filters will be ignored)
• "Remove data": clear collected data from the monitoring tool
• "Enable realtime monitoring": start/stop runtime monitoring
• "Filters": Filter monitoring events in the list by device name, object name, events and binary data (for applicable events)

The list contains all monitoring events collected in runtime or loaded from monitoring file. It supports multi-selection.

All events are displayed from VSPE device perspective. For example, Redirector "COM1 -> COM2" will emit COM1 "Read" events when it is reading data from COM1 and COM2 "Write" events when it is writing to COM2.

Include/exclude filters can be defined in text or binary format. The filter is matching data content at any position ("contains").

If filter is defined as binary, it can contain placeholder values (??) which means "any byte" Example:
